Add Comments and Files on Your Application

Once you've submitted your application for review, there may be times where you have to add comments or files after that submission. This may be to add information and documents you didn't have at the time of submission, provide clarification or requested information, or ask a question about your application.

Eproval lets you handle all communications directly in your application. This ensures that everyone that needs to has access to any comments you've added, or any files that you've uploaded, after you submit your application for review. And you can also see any comments and files that have been added by the Permit Manager or the individual Reviewers responsible for reviewing and approving your application. 

There are two different spots where you can add comments and files: on the Overall Application, and on a Specific Section. Where you add them depends on the nature of the comment or file you're adding. Comments added to the Overall Application, are more general in nature, while comments added to a Section are specific to that section and make it easy for people to understand the context of the added comment or file. If you're responding to a notification, however, make sure you add the comment or file at the location specified in the notification. 

Adding a comment and adding files, or adding both at the same time, is all handled through the same steps.

  1. Open your application and navigate to the location where you want to add your comment or file. If you've come from an Email Notification, then you should be directed to the correct location automatically.

    • To add it to the Overall Application, ensure the Application Comments tab at the very top of the application is selected. You may see some existing comments on the application.

    • To add your comment or file to a specific application section, scroll down to find the section, then click the carat icon beside the title to open the section. Again, you may see existing comments in the Comments and Files area.

  2. Scroll below any existing comments, and click Post Comment.

  3. Add text in the Enter comments here box, and add files to the Upload file(s) box. You can either drag files from your File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac), or click in the box to browse to their location.

  4. If you are in a specific section, then the Topic dropdown will be selected to that section by default. If you are in the overall application, click the Topic dropdown and select General Comment. This keeps the comment or file at the overall application level.

  5. Click Submit Comment. Back on the application, you'll see your comment posted along with links to any files you uploaded.
