Add Event Details to Generate Your Application

As noted in the Understand Parts of an Application topic, some information is always required in a specific permit type. However, Eproval streamlines the application process by having a large portion of the application you need to complete dynamically generated based on the specific details of your event. If you've ever filled out a permit application before, you'll probably know the frustration of having a huge, multi-page form where large portions either don't apply to your event at all, or it's unclear as to whether they apply. By dynamically generating only the sections that do apply, Eproval removes that extra bulk and uncertainty.

You'll start by answering a series of Yes/No questions about your event. Based on your answers, Eproval generates just the sections you need to complete. It's that simple.

After you've created your application, you'll come to the screen where you can start filling in all of your event information. This is also the screen you'll come to if you click the application link in your dashboard. You can fill out the different sections in any order, but to ensure that you dynamically generate the sections of your application, complete the steps below.

Steps

  1. Select the Event Details section. This is the only section on the page that has subsections below it.

  2. On the right side of the screen, you'll now see a series of Yes/No questions about your event. Go through and select Yes or No to answer the questions - ensure you answer ALL of the questions presented.

Note: If you're still gathering details about your event and aren't sure whether a section will eventually apply, select Yes. Before you officially Submit your application, you can come back and update the answers if necessary.

  3. Once you've completed all of the Yes/No questions, click Save and Proceed to Next Step

  4. If you answered No to any of the questions, you will now see a reduced list of subsections under Event Details.

  5. You can now start completing the various application sections.
