Complete Application Sections

Once you've created your application, you're ready to start entering in the details of your event. Eproval makes this process easy by dividing the information into different sections under an Application Menu. You can choose the order in which you complete these sections - you can complete them in order, or jump around in any order. Jumping around to different sections is especially helpful early in the application process as you may not yet have all of the necessary information.

Regardless of the section, there are multiple ways of entering information as you complete the application.

  • Fields for entering text.

  • Fields for selecting dates and times.

  • Areas for adding files.

  • Selections that are either checkboxes, radio dials, or dropdown menus. Checkboxes let you make multiple selections, while radio dials only let you select one option.

As you'll see, when you select options with checkboxes or radio dials, you'll often be prompted to submit supporting information. This helps ensure you know exactly what information to provide.

Steps

  1. Select the Section in the Application Menu you want to complete. The required information will appear on the right side of the screen.

  2. Before you start entering information, read the Grey Box of text at the top. This is vital information provided by your Public Agency to provide context and details about the section and will greatly aide you in completing the section.

  3. For Text entry fields:

    • Click in the field and enter your text.

    • If there are specific requirements for the text, such as needing to be numeric, you'll se instructions below the field.

  4. Date and Time fields will display either a Select Date or Select Time message in the field needing entry:

    • Click in the field.

    • For Dates, select the day from the calendar that displays.

    • For Time, select the HourQuarter Hour, and either am or pm from the available options.

  5. To Upload Files, there are two options:

    • Drag and drop files from File Explorer on a Windows machine, or from Finder on a Mac directly into the Drop files here... box.

    • Find files on your hard drive by clicking Browse and then navigating to the file location.

    • Once you've added the file, you'll see it listed on the page, along with a Files uploaded successfully message in the box.

    • Click the red X to remove the file. 

  6. To Select from available options:

    • For Checkboxes, select all options that apply. You can select as many options that apply to the field.

    • For Radio Dial Buttons, select the option that applies. You can only select one option - often these are Yes/No fields.

    • For Dropdown Menus, click in the field to reveal the option, then select the appropriate option.

    • As noted, when you make a selection, often you'll be prompted to provide additional information. For example, if you select a certain type of stage you'll be using, you may need to provide the dimensions of that stage. The information you need to provide could come in the form in any of the above entry methods.

  7. Once you've completed all of the information in a section, click Save and Proceed to Next Step. This will take you the the next section in the list, but you can click any of the sections in the Application Menu and repeat the process until all sections are compete.
